God’s Work, Our Hands
As a community of Lutheran Christians, we
believe that we are called to do God’s work and will in the community
around us as well as globally. We have a variety of Ministry Teams that
assist us in that calling;
Faith Development Ministry seeks to assist everyone in their faith
journey through opportunities for study and discussion of God’s word and
how it applies in real life. Weekly studies are offered following Sunday
worship. Bible Study groups gather at various times during the month and
occasional study series are held.
Community Ministry seeks to create a community of
compassion and hope, and foster the development of
relationships among people in the
faith community. Celebrations, special meals, outings, and dinner groups
are
among the kinds of activities supported
by Community Ministry.
Social Ministry focuses on living out Christian faith in
daily life through justice and love and care for others. The Team presents
opportunities to respond to the physical, social and psychological needs
that distress people in Novato and beyond. Outreach through programs like
ELCA World Hunger, Lutheran World Relief and Disaster Response, Heifer
International, and the Novato Human Needs Center are among those lifted up
and supported. Additionally, Social Ministry takes the lead with All
Saints’ Sister parish relationship with Kigali Parish, Lutheran Church of
Rwanda.
Invitation
Ministry seeks to
make All Saints known beyond the congregation itself and invites others
into a
relationship with Jesus Christ. Invitation
Ministry provides Sunday hospitality to all who come to worship.
Youth
and Family Ministry seeks
promote the spiritual growth of youth by creating an environment that
welcomes and meets the needs of youth and their parents. The Team has
oversight of the weekly “Jesus Pizza” lunch that is served to the high
school students, and also plans family outing opportunities.
The Preschool and Children’s
Center Ministry
provides high quality education and child care in a
Christ-centered environment. For more information on All
